Telkom users on a continuous decline

Telkom recently released its financial results for the 2018 / 2019 financial year and as has been the trend over the last few years, Telkom has seen a decline in its fixed line subscribers.

Telkom has seen a consistent increase in cancellations from its fixed line subscribers since the year 2001 but in recent years with the rise in alternative providers and technologies, this cancellation numbers have increased by more than 25% over the last year.

The latest figures for the 2018/2019 period show that Telkom has seen a decline in subscribers of 411 000 since March 2018, which is the biggest decline in fixed line subscribers that Telkom has seen according to a report by tech news giant MyBroadband.
